My food intake hasn't improved at all. Last Monday was the PisaYFC party at JVC's crib and I ate I do not know how many pieces of siopao, spaghetti (yum yum), cheese sticks, macaroni salad, junk food and Mentos. The party was cool coz we got to do worship and all and have some games like Charades (lol at this part!) and Touch My Body (nothing R-rated in here, k?). Then, Kuya Gab aka "Friend" and I got to catch up a lot and share stories to each other. The party was really fun, as I said a while ago. Around four hours of Magic Sing.. Not so bad for being a Filipino.
Anyway, I went to the dress shop again a while ago (my mom dragged me btw) since my dear mother wanted to have a purse that matches my gown made. I still cannot understand why parents are more excited about the prom. I admit I was pretty stoked about the prom when I was a freshman or a sophomore but now that it's a little over a month away, I'm not that stoked anymore. Thinking about what you're wearing is exciting but finding a way how to get what you're wearing is the problemo. Now that I'm done with the gown and the purse (even if we could buy from the dept store but hey, the dress shop offered it for free), shoes and jewelry up next. Don't care about the make-up and hair bit. I'm gonna chop my hair off after the prom anyway. Can't wait for that.
Anyone here excited for Christmas? Uhm me.. I guess I'm okay. Not that bummed, not that excited either. I suppose this is the first Christmas I'll have without receiving some cash from the other members of the family tree. Oh well, there's a first time for everything. At least I got that jacket I wanted from People Are People. I still feel kinda guilty that the jacket's pricey but when my mom told me to go get what I wanted, I just HAD to take advantage of it. My mom's pretty against expensive stuff unless it's really needed or there's a special occasion for it. I mean, she has a point in disliking expensive stuff but come on, it's Christmas! I don't ask for much (for now since I'm not getting the camera nor the laptop YET).
Let's venture out into some far out topics, shall we?
Taking this out of my daily dosage of DBSK, I finally found out what the freaking hell does MIROTIC mean. I've searched the dictionary and in dictionary.com but, nada. Then when I watched this interview of the Fab 5 (no, not those from Queer eye, k?) on YouTube (it rhymes with YooChun! YooChoob, YooChun!), they stated that Mirotic means maze-like ish kind of structure. Seriously, I don't get it fully but I kinda get the gist. Mirotic is a fusion of English and Korean aka Konglish, and the term was coined from the eternally pretty and beautiful boy who makes me insecure like hell (come on, he's PRETTY!) even if we have different gonads and gender, Kim Jaejoong. Anyway, he said that Mirotic is "miro", which is maze in Korean plus the suffix, -tic. So I guess Mirotic is maze-like, suspense filled, thrilling, exciting? Well, I wouldn't mind being stuck in a maze with DBSK. Hahaha, kidding there. Well, maybe they're trying to relay that the song Mirotic would put your mind in a maze. Gosh, I still don't get it. But hey, the song's cool. Totally danceable and groovable.
No wonder why they got trapped by some girl who's flying in the vid. Jaejoong was tied up to some wall like he was gonna be raped (poor dude), Changmin's drowning in H2O (or given the illusion that he is in such situation), Micky's stuck inside a crystal, Yunho holding something like some cloth (?) and Xiah (my loves, lol) is uhm, in a, shall we call, multiphoton projecting asylum. Okay. Go laugh at my nerd-ness.
Speaking of such, I still don't get why the hell Mirotic is shall I call it, "sexually inclined". The guys look absolutely HOT (and I mean it!) in the vid. The song's groovy and catchy. I think it's more on the lyrics part. "Red ocean" and "crystal". Okay, I so don't get it.
Just a random thought. Why blame DBSK for the "sexually inclined" number and why not the songwriter? Go blame them if they took part in the songwriting instead yo. Seriously. Anyway, back to what I was trying it say.
According to some site, "red ocean" meant a girl's hymen and "crystal" meant the carrier of the Y chromosome, the male sperm. And I think the lyrics were like, "my crystals are going to go through your veins" and stuff. Forgot about the red ocean bit. Anyway. Biologically speaking (nothing harmful in here, k? just stuff every human being must be highly aware of), the sperm does NOT go into the veins of the woman when it enters the woman's body but it goes to her womb. Plus, red ocean is more like describing a girl's menstrual period. Okay, how can you compare an ocean to let's say, human tissue (since that is what a hymen is). An ocean is liquid, human tissue is solid (speaking of the states of matter).
So, how did human tissue become, a red ocean? Unless those who said that the red ocean refers to the female hymen reads Gossip Girl. Quote en quote from what Serena told Nate, "You parted my Red Sea!". I don't really need to explain on that. Really.
Whatever it is, I'd rather hear the song say "I got you under my skin" rather that "I got you under my sky". That doesn't make sense AT ALL.
Did I mention that there was a line that said "I got you under my skin" in Micky's (I think..) rap in the first part of Rising Sun?
Okay, enough about my analysis. Time for bed. Misa de gallo tomorrow morning. Goodnight y'all.
Everything seems so silent since my dad's in Manila right now. Hahaha.
Started the day with groggy eyes and constant whines. Believe it or not, I slept late again last night. I was expecting that I'd get some good ol sleep but NOPE, not much sleep. I recall asking my mom if I could be absent from school today and she said yes. It's great that my parents allow me to skip school as long as I wanted to ever since I started high school. They must have finally understood how stressful it is to be a student in my alma mater. But you know what, I still end up going to school since skipping school is really hard. Anyway, I bummed around during Comsci..
Did I mention that I saw a picture of bone marrow in Francis Magalona's Multiply (yeah, he's my contact on Multiply!)? Hahaha. Also saw a bag of platelets there as well. I dunno, I just got intrigued with the platelets and bone marrow because of Biology class. By the way, heard Francis M's on chemotherapy. So all I could say is that, I hope that he'll get well soon so he could make some more good music! Lalala kaleidoscope world.. :) Anyway.
Got lucky during the quiz in Socsci.. TOTALLY SUCKED IN THE CHEMISTRY QUIZ.. Had a headache during the Math exercise because of that freaking bonus item, and got giddy during English because of 'em fake zebra stripes.
The SG was a bit more than the usual. Ma'am Annie told us that 10 members of the SG would join an acting workshop this Friday with other members of CAMP and Oasioas. The one who will be teaching us is the actress Mia Gutierrez (she's the one who played John Lloyd Cruz's mom in Tabing Ilog). As for me, I have no idea who the hell she is but from what Ma'am Annie told us about her, she might have been really famous to some other generation. Well, I'm looking forward to the acting workshop! Can't wait to yell at people.. Kidding, kidding.
On the way home, I rode a jeep going to SM since my mom told me to go there. I was with SM and JVC then. I asked SM to help me solve the freaking bonus item in Math and voila, I solved it when I was inside the jeep! I was highly euphoric at that moment so I started laughing like a fool and all. Also, we got to talk about the Ramayana thing. I already placed my bets on who could play Rama, Sita and Hanumman (the monkey god!). Anyway, after that I got down at SM, bought something at NBS, bought a mango avocado shake and went home with my mom and our maid.
Finally got to read the stuff for English and Filipino. Yey, now I blog.
----------
What did I eat today..
Breakfast - spaghetti Recess - apples and a cheese sandwich Lunch - burger steak and red rice Recess - Cream-O and Cloud 9 Dinner - Penne and the mango avocado shake
Minus the sweets and I'm good to go!
----------
Dad just called in and he asked this absolutely LAME favor.
"Macey, sabihin mo nga kay Mommy na manood ng Iisa Pa Lamang tapos ikwento niya sa akin yung ano nangyari mamaya.."
Today was.. Uhm, okay? I guess so. Actually, today was better than yesterday. PE was fun since I got a good score in the test, Chem wasn't as dragging, Health was okay (gah I'm so generic with descriptions.. sorry), Math was interesting, Socsci was funny since the movie we watched showed Richard Gere as a very flirty Lancelot (hahaha no pun intended!), and Research was, GAAAAAAAH.
Imagine, we photocopied 70+++ pages for research ALONE. Hopefully by tomorrow we'll accomplish something for our methodology and Mariel's willing to finalize it since I worked on the RRL. It's a good thing that my groupmates always find a reason not to skip their weekend activities. That way, I get to play badminton! Initially, we were thinking that we'd make our Methodology on Saturday but since Mariel had plans and I have my own plans, we decided with JB that we'd just do it tomorrow. I'm thankful for my groupmates since they really cooperate well and they have the same excuses as I do just to escape Research work. Hahaha GO NFA RICE!
So after school, my dad fetched me and Hannah hitched with me to SM. Han and I stayed in Coffee Dream while eating our fish fillet sandwiches. And yeah, her mom and my parents kept on chatting which was really amusing since they know the same people from far way. Lol! Speaking of fish fillet sandwiches..
It's more PRACTICAL to buy a fish fillet sandwich from Roadhouse rather than buying the fish fillet sandwich value meal in McDonalds. Why? The fish fillet sandwich value meal from McDonalds costs PhP 109, while the one from Roadhouse costs PhP 120. I know the one from Roadhouse is more expensive by 11 bucks but seriously, you wouldn't get much with 11 bucks nowadays. I mean, the one from McDonalds has a drink but the one from Roadhouse has a BIGGER sandwich with lettuce, onions and tomatoes while the one from McDonalds is so tiny and it only has tartar sauce. Plus, the fries that go with the sandwich from Roadhouse? Bigger, tastier, more delicious. I really recommend Roadhouse's food! GO FOR THE SIZZLING POCHERO! Yum yum yum!
So that was my super delicious dinner. Plus nectarines, which makes it even better. I can still taste the nectarine juice in my mouth. Gaaah it still lingers. I WANT MOOOORE.
----------
I found this one in Sophie Silvestre's multiply account (she's my batchmate in Miriam) and yeah, it intrigued me. I'm more of a Jacob fan but, sure. I'd agree to these statements!
A normal guy would say: “I love you, baby!” Edward Cullen would say: “You are my life now” Normal Guy would say: “I think am falling for you” Edward Cullen would say: “The Lion fell in Love with the Lamb”
Normal Guy would say: “You hair looks like a haystack ….go brush it!” Edward Cullen would say: "Your hair looks like haystack…but I like it”
A normal guy would pick a random song from a random artist and dedicated to you. Edward Cullen would sing you a song he wrote for you while playing the piano.
If you died a normal guy would find another. If you died Edward would kill himself cause life without you isn’t worth living.
"Well, I wasn't going to live without you." He rolled his eyes as if that fact were childishly obvious. "But I wasn't sure how to do it--I knew Emmet and Jasper would never help... so I was thinking maybe i would go to Italy and do something to provoke the Volturi."
As you left the house a normal guy would say: “Bye. See ya!” As you left the house Edward Cullen would say: “Come back to me love.”
He smiled my favorite smile. "Hurry back to me." "Always."
As you come back to the house a normal guy would be watching TV and wouldn’t even notice. As you come back to the house Edward Cullen would be welcoming you by playing the piano with a song just for you.
“I heard the music before I was out of the car. Edward hadn't touched his piano since the night Alice left. Now, as I shut the door, I heard the song morph through a bridge and change into my lullaby. Edward was welcoming me home.”
A normal guy would wait for you to make him breakfast. Edward Cullen would make you breakfast everyday.
While you were both out for dinner a normal guy wouldn’t keep his eyes of the sexy waitress. Edward Cullen wouldn’t even notice the waitress was a female.
A normal guy while driving would keep one hand on the wheel and one hand on the radio. Edward Cullen while driving would keep one hand on the wheel and the other attached to yours.
While far apart in different places a normal guy would say: “I miss you” While far apart in different place Edward Cullen would say: “It’s like you taken half myself with you”
A normal guy wouldn’t care or notice if you had nightmares. Edward Cullen would sing until your nightmares went away.
"Do you want me to sing to you? I'll sing all night if it will keep the bad dreams away." A normal guy does it with everyone. Edward Cullen only does it with one.
A normal guy buys you flowers and chocolates. Edward Cullen buys you a car.

iPods must be allowed during break times and free periods. FIGHT FOR THAT, at least.
I AM FINALLY BACK AFTER 969768475857958728978276 YEARS! HAHA. Okay, I've only been gone for almost a week.
It's good to back! Finally I get to blog again. The past days have been filled with excitement, stress, pressure, boredom, happiness, sadness, whatever emotion there is. Generally, the exams wasn't as, let's say, scary as I thought it would be.
Biology - NOSEBLEED. I guess that could sum it all up. But, I passed! 2.00!
Filipino - Similar to the summative quiz, it's just that there's an essay. It wasn't as hard as I expected it to be.
PEH - I'm sure my exam grade in PE will not be higher that 1.50 since my group got a 2.00 in the practical exam. I don't have a knack for kickball, okay? Hahaha. It's fun but I'm really not meant for sports that involves balls like, kickball, basketball, volleyball, and the like. Health was easy. Thank you Sir Mancao!
Math - I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE THE MATH EXAM. I was expecting that there was proving of the theorem (WHICH I REALLY HATE) but THERE WASN'T. Actually, Sir Harold told me that he mentioned that the provihg part wasn't included in the exams. Okaaaay so I just forgot. =))
Physics - I'M READY TO FAIL. *hands down* The questions would have been easy if I listened to the class discussion. Hahaha. It would have been EASIER if I was gifted in Physics, which I obviously am not. I hope that I pass, but I'm sure that my grade would be less than 38/50. Seriously. =))
English - It was time consuming since we had to write this and that but generally, it was okay. :)
Comsci - I'm sure that I have around, 10 mistakes or more. Harhar.
Research - BLOODY ESSAY. Hahaha. I even had a debate with Ma'am Mendoza regarding the meaning of the sentence if the word 'on' was replaced with 'of'. There is a difference actually and Ma'am Tenchavez pointed it out to me when I asked her something. Anyway, it was okay. It just made my hand hurt after all the writing.
Statistics - I'm glad I got to concentrate well during Statistics (was it because SOMEONE wasn't there? yeah, yeah. that IS the reason!). Sir Joms even taught us how to compute for the standard deviation for ungrouped data using our calculators. WOHOO. The exam was relatively easy. Statistics is waaaaaay easier than Applied Math.
Socsci - I didn't get to study well, seriously. But it wasn't as hard as I expected it to be.
Chemistry - LAST EXAM. I'm sure with most of my answers. Hope I get a good score!
Now the exams are over, I could read Twilight (I FINALLY HAVE A COPY AFTER WAITING FOR LIKE, 2 MONTHS?!) for as long as I want to. Also, I now know the "exam style" of our teachers. Oh yeaaah. I finally have my Bio grade. I got 1.50. I was expecting my grade to be like, 1.75. My quizzes were 1.25, lab reports were 1.00 (thanks for the bonuses for passing on time), lab quizzes were 1.75, exam was 2.00 and my assignment was 2.50. I can't really blame Ma'am Tenchavez for giving me a 2.50 in class participation because I often sleep in her class. Mental note to self: NEVER EVER SLEEP IN BIO CLASS. EVER.
I'm also going to share about what happened last Friday. We had the cooking contest in school for nutrition month. I'm glad to say that we won 3rd place! Yaaaay! We cooked spicy beef, Kamameshi rice, chopsuey, four seasons fruit shake (purely fruit and ice but it tasted like heaven!) and the tropical fruit parfait with chiffon cake. Lithium won 2nd place and Proton won 1st place. At least we won something. Hehehe. Maybe what made us win was the table set up since we had Hello Kitty stuffed toys there. And the Hello Kitty toys were in Japanese costume (you know those ones that they gave when you bought Happy Meals? those ones. haha).
Gaaah it feels sooooooo nice not having to worry about school related things right now (except for Research). My carpoolmates and I decided to eat at Kopi Roti as a "celebration" now that the exams are over. Btw, it's Kopi Roti's 1st anniversary so they have this promo where you have to make 'bunot' a piece of paper and then you have a price! It's either you get a free dental check up (since the owner of Kopi Roti has a dental clinic in the 2nd floor of the building), a tumbler (which Edel got. lucky, lucky you) and 2 small boxes of Colgate. I got the Colgate! Finally I have toothpaste that I could use in school. I recently ran out of toothpaste. Hahaha. Also, we wrote a lot of stuff in their guestbook and Chino even wrote stuff like, "XOXO Gossip Girl" and the address was Upper East Side, Manhattan. I even wrote my address as Forks, Washington under some name I forgot. I think I wrote Isabella Swan or Edward Cullen? Lol. I forgot. I even wrote, "VISIT MY BLOG! http://hydroxide-mash.blogspot.com/ - macey". Hahaha. So much for die hard advertising.
But the coolest part? Back in June, my carpoolmates and I stopped by there and we wrote our name as "Carpool ni Manong Nick" and the address was Pisay SMC. We scanned through the guest book again and we saw beside that entry we placed last month was, "Hi Pisay! - Illumina '06". Cool huh? Some Illumina people saw it! HAHAHA. Ambot oi. I'm just soooo surprised! :) Ohyeah. The milk toast in Kopi Roti is just DIVINE. The toast just melts in your mouth along with the butter and condensed milk. It's just that your throat might hurt if you eat too much. Plus, you're gonna get fat if you eat a lot of that. Imagine a thick piece of toast melting in
warm butter and condensed milk. Imagine all the lipids and carbs in that. One small bite is enough, really. Hahaha.
----------
Speaking of Twilight, I'm not that 'kilig' with what I'm reading now. Maybe it's because I'm still in the part where Edward and Bella are in some meadow and stuff. Chapter 13, to be exact. Seriously, I think I'm really late in reading Twilight. Breaking Dawn is coming out next week and I'm still halfway through the 1st book. I'M SUCH A LOSERRR. Hahaha. I'm getting my copy of New Moon and Eclipse already tomorrow, and I already asked the lady in NBS in SM to reserve a copy of each for me. And I'm still going to ask my parents if it's okay with them if I also reserve my copy of Breaking Dawn tomorrow. I'm really taking what my mom said with conviction: "Spend your money on books instead, not on a digicam!". Anyway, back to me reading Twilight. Edward scares me, but at the same time I find him really sweet. Bella always gets 'dazed' by Edward. All she thinks is that Edward is like a god or something when they're together. I really hope that Midnight Sun comes out soon. Edward's point of view would be really fun to read since he's trying to stop himself from killing Bella. XD
----------
More random pics? Sure. :) I'm lazy to put captions. Sorry.
----------
I recently discovered this band in Pops In Seoul. It's name is Ibadi. Their lead vocalist is Horan of Clazziquai, btw. Anyway, their music is Norah Jones-y in Korean. They did a good cover of Tom's Diner in their live concert but I still don't know how they managed to make a cover of Smells Like Teen Spirit with their genre of music. Anyway, here's their song, "Never Ending Story".
----------
Before I forget, we're finally done with our Speech Choir in English. We got a 24/25! Same score was Lithium. Calcium got a perfect score, and I admit I was amazed by their performance. It was really well prepared for. :) I also found it cool that one of the canteen concessioners, "Ate Gwaps" as we call her (we call her that since she's pretty. hehe) was reciting the poem. Maybe she memorzied the lines from constantly hearing us reciting it aloud or maybe she learned it back when she was in high school or something. Whatever the reason why she knows it, I just found it cool that she recited the poem when she passed by us. And she recited it with feeling okay?! HAHA. XD
----------
I'm glad to say I'm done with my own revision of my Chapter 1 in Research. All I have to do is wait for Mariel to go online, which I am doing right now. We'll just put all our ideas together tomorrow and we could finally print it. Good thing Mariel has a laptop and printer in the dorm. :)
That's all for today. I'm gonna go read Twilight now!
